We regularly host events at Ultraworking, and of the most popular is Work Cycles. Work Cycles is a way to get an immense amount of stuff done in 4-5 hours.

Work Cycles looks to take around a dozen best practices of how to have a peak effectiveness work session, and layers them all together. They're great for getting that type of difficult maximally-important abstract work done that leads to huge gains, or alternatively, it's great for buzzsawing through a bunch of boring routine work that you'd like to get done quickly.

The format is that we'll block off 4-5 hours together, attendees will bring work they want to accomplish, we'll set up quickly, and we'll run out the work. Attendees will be amazed at how much they get done, and learn a new skilled way of working that's potentially valuable forever.
SPECS, REQUIREMENTS, DETAILS
Number of attendees: If you have 20+ in your organization or group, I'll do it for free if your city is on my travel schedule. If you have below 20 but want some Cycles, say for your executive team, I'll do it at nominal cost. Maximum attendees we've had at Work Cycles is in the ~150 people range and that can be easily accommodated.
Who Should Do This: Anyone that wants 20%-400% more effectiveness in a given work session for themselves and their colleagues/friends/team. I’m not exaggerating that those are the order of magnitude of gains possible. We’ve had thousands of people on Work Cycles at this point, and regularly get “I got the next two days of work done in 4 hours.” Yes, it’s that powerful. This is specially valuable for scaling companies, government, and education — but we’ve had rave reviews from a variety of people in creative fields, pure inventors, attorneys, accountants, programmers, and many more too. Quite simply, it’s for people who want to get a lot more work done. I'm happy to do them if you're at a private company, a nonprofit, a governmental organization, or if it's just an informal social or industry group.
Requirements: To run Cycles, we'll need on-site... (1) Decent-to-good internet and full computers and desk or table space for all participants. Attendees should have their normal work computers; tablets and mobile devices don't cut it don't cut it in most cases. (2) A/V and a projector can be a nice bonus if you’ve got it, so we're all looking at the same thing — but it’s not strictly essential. (3) On the off chance your team members can’t use Google Sheets at work (high-security environment, government, etc) do please let me know in advance since we’ll have to make alternative arrangements. (4) And then — just having motivated people who want to get a lot of work done quickly while learning something new and cool.
Where: I'll do these for free for 20+ people in any of the following cities: Boston, MA; New York, NY; Austin, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA. If you're in another city that I wasn't planning on visiting, I'm possibly able to do it depending on timing if you've got a great group and travel expenses are covered.
Why: For you and your attendees, because you'll get a bunch of work done faster and easier than you thought possible, and get a new tool in the toolbox for effectiveness. Why do I do it? First because I love doing it, I want everyone in the world to be maximally effective, and maybe you or your organization will become customers down the road. But there’s no sales pitch at all — it’s just, like, getting a ton of stuff done and learning something cool. I super enjoy running Work Cycles, it’s one of my most favorite ways to spend a few hours.
When: The next 2-3 weeks; the end of July 2018 and first week of August 2018 is ideal. Work hours are fine; oftentimes we do the afternoons which are typically when people are lower productivity — it's amazing what you can do from 1PM-5PM in a structured setting. I'm happy to do them after work, in the morning, or on the weekends as well. Timing is flexible.

Oh my goodness, I'm so excited to finally announce this publicly.
My good friend and oft-collaborator Kai Zau started building a new company, Ultraworking, back in December of last year.
With Ultraworking, we're looking to fill a gap in the lives of people who are highly driven, highly analytical, achievement-oriented.
We're making technology, community, and content for our type of people.
Well today has been interesting. I've learned a bit about how to listen to my body.
I started with some good focus, after my morning ritual (which, yeah, I did xD). Got to Hubud using my shortcut. Dove into work.
Oddly, the Hubud dinner was more of a distraction than a benefit. If I could go back, I would have skipped it.
After about 3 hours of pretty good creative flow, I was feeling out of energy.
