One clarification: On the video, I said I was in a "t-shirt." It would more appropriately be called "a young fashionable informal shirt." Everything else is correct to the best of my knowledge. Enjoy this one, and share it.
Kudos to you for standing up against this abuse of power. People should do a lot more of this. The world would surely be a better place for it.
Sebastian, I've been following your story extensively and based on what you are saying, it makes zero sense.
You need to provide proof of your upgrade purchase, original ticket, boarding passes, flight numbers, date/time of flight and credit card statement so we can believe what you are saying is correct.
CAN YOU PROVIDE THESE?
If yes, post them on your website and I will be happy to verify them independently. I am an aviation professional and now all the ticketing procedures.
You need to cooperate so we can help you make sense. On Pprune website, you are getting no sympathy at all. I have spoken to some if these people and they know what they are saying and they are of opinion that you have no grounds. Absolute none!!!
" Civil, criminal, international, public relations, anything and everything. This kind of thing needs to stop, and we need to use everything possible to force change to happen.".....
Give me time stop laughing before I reply......
I suggest that you move on, rather than continuing to cover yourself in ridicule. What emerges clearly from your rantings is that you are a spoilt brat with an over-inflated sense of entitlement, no manners and the belief that your minor inconveniences deserve world-wide attention.
And since you seem to think that being an American citizen is relevant (which it isn't by the way), I suggest that you throw a similar tantrum on a US carrier and see what happens to you.
Sebastian, your blog is seriously losing steam as a result of these postings. I understand you have a legitimate conflict ongoing, but it's starting to come off as a continuous hissyfit, not much "strategy, philosophy, self-discipline" going on here. I'd suggest sticking to the key lessons learned, or just get back to having the blog be a great place to discuss/think about higher-level things.
One thing I don't understand - you are treating this as a criminal case? In which case why have your own lawyers - just leave it to the police to handle. Or will you go civil as well?
I took a one night, two day trip to one to the provinces this past weekend. It was all very pleasant, I had a nice time, I got to stop by some local businesses and see how they were making goods to wholesale, and it was nice to be out in the clean and fresh air.
But maybe the most enjoyable part of thing was traveling with just a briefcase.
I'd only done that once before, a few years ago. I forgot about how nice and convenient it is. I wore the same pair of jeans, packed my computer and a couple basics, and bought a new shirt after I arrived. Man, it's nice getting through the airport without any luggage, and the additional mobility from not having any gear to worry about is nice.
Unless I'm under time pressure when I arrive or I already have a place I like to stay in a city that I've been before, I tend to not book anywhere to stay - I just arrive and walk around. Frequently this surprises/amazes people, but I think it works really well.
I walked into a business hotel at around 8PM in the evening after it started getting dark. Their rates were 170 RMB for their cheapest room to 800 RMB for the most expensive. I said, "I want one night. What's the absolutely best price you can do?" The girl at the desk offered me 88 RMB, which I took.
