Man, it's good to have triage day roll around.
Every two weeks I go through everything I've got to-do, all my notes, etc. Then I either schedule it, do it, or throw it away.
It's great! I used to have so much on my to-do list that never got done. The list filled up with stuff that I was never going to do.
Now, I mark an item that's been added to the list when triage day rolls around. Then two weeks later, I either schedule, do it, or toss it. If I'm not going to do or schedule something after 2-3 weeks, it's probably not important or not going to get done.
I'm not hardcore about this, I have a couple lists of stuff that might be nice to do at some point. But my to-do items and loose notes are getting done, scheduled, or trashed every two weeks. It's a good feeling. Highly ecommended.
